DVHS
DVHS is comprised of these programs: DVHS Supplemental, DVHS Expanded Eligibility Participation Program (E2P2), and the Non-DoW Schools Program (NDSP).
Established in 2010-11, the DVHS is a fully accredited DoWEA high school that provides online asynchronous courses with synchronous support by full-time DoWEA certified teachers. All courses are aligned to DoWEA College and Career Readiness Standards. The DVHS supports high school students in multiple ways: a supplemental program for students currently enrolled in a worldwide DoWEA school, the DVHS Expanded Eligibility Participation Program (E2P2), the Non-DoW Schools Program (NDSP), and the DVHS Summer School Program for current DoWEA high school students.
- The DVHS Supplemental Option offers students currently enrolled in a DoWEA high school the opportunity to take one or two virtual school classes to supplement the courses available at their brick and mortar DoWEA school. The DVHS Supplemental program offers all DoWEA required courses in addition to World Languages and Career & Technical Education (CTE) electives.
- The DVHS Expanded Eligibility Participation Program (E2P2) is an enrollment expansion authorized by the National Defense Authorization Act. This program is open to active-duty dependent high school students in the U.S. and will supplement (not compete with) school districts and private programs. Students in this program may take up to two credits per year.
- The Non-DoW Schools Program (NDSP) serves the students who live overseas where DoWEA schools are not available. Students in NDSP locations may choose to enroll in DVHS on a comprehensive (full-time) basis if needed to complete graduation requirements and receive a DoWEA diploma. Enrollment in DVHS is exclusive of NDSP participation. Review the DOWEA Non-DoW Schools (NDSP) page for more information and to determine eligibility.
- The DVHS Summer School Program is designed for eligible DoWEA students to complete the equivalent of one semester course credit. The program traditionally provides students an opportunity to earn original credit or to replace a failing grade.
For eligibility requirements for DVHS, please visit the DVHS Eligibility page.
